Nexus Group nets SAS70

Nashville-based The Nexus Group (formerly ISDN Net) announced today it has obtained SAS 70 Type II certification for its data facility here. Gray CPA Solutions PLLC of Murfreesboro performed the audit needed to verify that Nexus meets or exceeds security and management-process requirements to satisfy the AICPA-developed statement of auditing standards. Among Nexus peers in the Nashville area, Peak10 and SunGard say they also maintain SAS 70 Type II compliance.

Peak10 data player expands credit facility

Peak10, the data-center operator that bought RenTech here a few years ago, has expanded its credit facility by $95MM, saying it intends to stay on the acquisitions path. Release here.

Frontier Cap exits health IT, data cos.

Maybe now that Charlotte, N.C.-based Frontier Capital has exited Peak10 and Anodyne Health Partners (announced yesterday), it'll have more cash to shop Tennessee companies, per its plans announced nearly a year ago, before the recent economic unpleasantness. At left is Seth Harward, Frontier's dealflow developer, who occasionally visits Music City. Anodyne was bought by Waterown, Mass.-based Athena Health,which is in the EHR and practice-management space. Frontier's share of Peak10 was taken out by Omaha-based McCarthy Group LLC.

Emdeon data deal

Emdeon's latest SEC filing shows the company's doing a build and lease-back deal with Solomon Builders for a new data center at Airpark Center East, no doubt much to the chagrin of such local data-hosting and managed-services providers as SunGard, Peak10 and Nexus Group.
