Bredesen firm hits record

Qualifacts, the healthcare services software-as-service firm owned by outbound Gov. Phil Bredesen, reported a record year for subscriber signups (no financial details). The release is here.

Qualifacts' positioning

While it's interesting that Qualifacts today announced they landed New Directions Inc., in Connecticut, as a user of CareLogic... it's even more interesting that Qualifacts has found a positioning statement. The company says it's "the largest Software as a Service (SaaS) provider of Electronic Health Record (EHR) and enterprise management systems to behavioral health and human services providers."

Braggin' rights: Qualifacts, Digome

Back in October, we reported on Roe Frazer's new Digome LLC sports and entertainment startup. Roe wrote this weekend that since then they've done work for Titans defensive end Kyle Van Den Bosch, and Kentucky coach John Calipari... We also recently reported on Qualifacts' alliance with a North Carolina firm, to push for e-health consortia. Now comes a Qualifacts release noting that, among other feats, in 1HCY09 the company signed 14 new contracts in eight states. Qualifacts also says it's making strong progress signing providers in Georgia, a recently added territory.

[Updated] Qualifacts creates California presence

[Updated June 28, 4:18 p.m.] Qualifacts Systems Inc., the 2nd Avenue provider of software and services for the behavioral health and human-services sector, announced today it has hired Geoff Fisher (left) as its first full-time sales and service executive for the West. A Qualifacts spokesperson told VNC Fisher will be based in San Diego, where he currently resides. VNC research this afternoon indicates Fisher was previously in a similar role with Sequest Technologies, a Qualifacts competitor; and, earlier, was with MDVIP and Alteer Corporation. He earned his bachelor's in Biology at Virginia Tech. The announcement of Fisher's hire was attributed to Qualifacts VP-Marketing Chris Bair. Gov.
