ORNL SNS resumes ops

The Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Laboratory resumed operations this week after a summer maintenance period, and now has a new proton-imaging system inplace. The KNS reports. More on the SNS, here. That's the SNS facility, at left.

ORNL targets expansion

DOE has given initial approval to doubling the research capacity of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Spallation Neutron Source facility (illustrated, with expansion highlighted).
