Atlanta-based MAGNETT Health LLC is, according to a news release today, the name of a new wellness venture launched by i.e. LLC (formerly Abeo Partners, according to the Tennessee Secretary of State's database) and its leader, James B. Daniell. Also in the picture is Scottsdale-based Institute for Health and Productivity Management.

Aegis CDO is Talbert

Pearson Talbert, formerly an executive with HealthSouth and with Ingram & Associates, an affiliate of AIM Healthcare Services, has joined Aegis Health Group as chief development officer for the workplace wellness-oriented company. HealthHonors to Healthways

Healthways is paying $14.7MM upfront, plus earn-out to acquire HealthHonors. In a release, Healthways said, in part, "Healthways will integrate the HealthHonors science and technology into Embrace™, Healthways’ comprehensive information system, to enhance sustained engagement in healthy behaviors." With quality, outcomes and transparency much talked about, Data Advantage LLC has published the Hospital Value Index, which, among other things, reports there is, on average, no difference in quality-of-outcomes between teaching hospitals and other hospitals, including community hospitals in smaller communities.
