VUMC DNA databank advances personalized medicine
Vanderbilt University announced that the VU Medical Center's BioVU DNA databank, which has collected more than 75,000 DNA samples to aid understanding of influence of genetics on patients responses to drugs, is now open for business, with access available via VU researchers as lead investigators, with collaborators at other universities, as required. The DNA data is linked to patients' electronic medical records. The VU story is here.
