Diatherix H1N1 test greenlighted

DIATHERIX Laboratories, based in Huntsville, with offices in Middle Tennessee, announced it has been granted emergency use authorization by the FDA for its DIATHERIX H1N1-09 Influenza Test.

Diatherix Laboratories is expanding office and lab facilities in Brentwood and in Huntsville, as business picks up for its tests to confirm H1N1 flu and other infectious diseases. Nashville Business Journal reports the story in today's edition (sub.). Diatherix is led by CEO Dennis Grimaud (left), a former president of Tennessee Biotechnology Association and previously a frequent critic of what he described as the inhospitable climate in Tennessee for life sciences ventures.
