Scripps biz-brand strategy emerging
Knoxville-based Scripps, which is the HGTV and Food Network operations site for Cincy-based Scripps Networks Interactive, announced today its parent is selling its uSwitch comparison-shopping unit, the UK-based it paid $366MM for, three years ago. A month ago, on the heels of a precipitous drop in revenue and profits, Scripps announced its units would be sharpening their focus on core brands and eyeing increased revenue internationally.
