TN capital shortage for startups

TTDC President Eric Cromwell and EastTN entrepreneurs agreed in a panel discussion this week, during the Innovation Imperative venture forum, that TN still has a capital shortage for startups. The KNS reports. TTDC, meanwhile, has its own funding challenges.

Throttle-Up pitch contest

The Innovation Imperative program in Knoxville is included in today's VNC Calendar, but we should have highlighted within that initiative the ThrottleUp venture-pitch program that will take place within the Imperative event. ThrottleUp apps are due Sept. 17, and finalists are to be announced in October.
