The story says Vanderbilt purchased CIS from vendor Agfa/Heart Lab, and more than a dozen people worked the past year to customize it to suit Vanderbilt's needs. Factors driving the project include the need to integrate the new system with VU's existing informatics ecosystem and the need for strong communications between campus and the new VUMC 100 Oaks center.
